Zoom in on the family below. From a few steps back it's one picture; up close, every small square is one of the photos it was built from.
A grid collage holds nine photos, maybe twenty. This one works with a few hundred, and no photo repeats until every one of yours has been used. How it works →

How your picture will look up close, faces, repeats, colors: that page shows it piece by piece.
The AI here is a sorter. It looks at each spot of your main photo and picks one of your photos whose colors fit it. Nothing is generated: every piece of the picture is one of your photos. Six things it does on the way:
It looks for faces before it crops and keeps them in the frame. If it misses a face, you move that crop by hand.
See before and afterWhen a photo has to appear twice, the software keeps the two copies away from each other. Shot ten near-identical photos of the same cake? One click on the upload page finds them and keeps one of each, and one click undoes it.
Each photo goes where its own colors fit that part of the main photo. If your set lacks a shade, the photo that lands there is tinted toward it.
With and withoutYour photos go in one round at a time: each one once before any appears twice, and each repeat goes where its colors fit. Upload more photos than there are spots and nothing repeats at all.
Why that isA star makes a photo bigger in the picture and puts it in first.
Classic and same-size tiles come with nearly every upload; for many portraits there's also a version with the face left as a clean photograph and the small photos around it. Pick in your account.
See the styles up closeYou don't pay to see the result. The preview is free: the full picture, about 5,000 px across, with a watermark. Take your time with it and compare every style.
The file without the watermark costs one credit. 1 credit = $9.95 = one HD download. For more than one picture, or several styles of one, packs cost less per download: 5 for $39.85 · 10 for $67.75 · 20 for $99.55. The HD file is about 12,000 px on the long side (a portrait comes out 8,064 × 12,096 px), the same for every pack. Need it larger? Write to us. See all packs →

Three pictures we built for real walls: a public art installation, a museum hall, an office.
A panel for the entrance hall of the University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge. Built from the researchers' own photos, sent to us as one big folder.
An assembly video: your photos fly in one by one and the picture takes shape in front of the viewer. You choose the captions and how they look, the music (a catalog by occasion, or your own song), and which photos fly in large and in what order. Rendered in 4K at 60 fps, ready for a screen at the party or a phone in a group chat.

Works in Claude and other AI assistants: ask for a photo mosaic and the assistant gives you a link to upload your photos here; a heart- or number-shaped collage it makes right in the chat from the photos you attach. For your own product there is a REST API, an MCP server and the layout of every picture as JSON or XML. Same engine as the family picture above, documented with examples in one place. A tool that puts many of your photos together into one picture. This one takes hundreds of them: the AI sorts, crops and color-matches your photos so that together they form one larger image. It never draws anything.
Ours looks at each spot of your main photo and picks one of your photos whose colors fit it. On the way it keeps faces in the frame, keeps repeats apart, and gives starred photos larger spots. No photo repeats until every one of yours has been used. Nothing is generated.

Yes, for one credit. The free preview is the full picture at about 5,000 px with a watermark; the HD file has none.
Yes. The picture takes 10–30 minutes to build, and we email you the preview when it's ready. While you're working on a project, the account keeps your photos in one place, so you can come back, change the main photo or add photos, and build again.
Yes. The AI looks for faces before cropping and keeps them in the frame, and vertical and horizontal photos both fit. You can check the crops before the build and move any of them by hand.
At least 30. Most people upload between 30 and 1,000 photos, and you can add thousands. A few hundred is the sweet spot: enough choice for every spot in the picture, with fewer repeats.
Usually 10 to 30 minutes after you finish uploading, up to 60 at busy times. The preview arrives by email, so you don't have to keep the page open.
Your photos are used only to build your picture, and your assembly video if you order one. We don't train models on them, and nothing is generated from them. You can delete a project from your account yourself at any time. The details are in the privacy policy.
